Selecting a Default Pharmacy

  1. Open the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface. For more information, go to Opening the ExamWRITER ePrescribing Interface.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • If no default pharmacy is selected, click the Please set the default pharmacy link in the top panel to select the default pharmacy where you want to send the patient’s medical prescription.
    • If a default pharmacy is already selected, click Pharmacy Search in the Pharmacy section of the Patient panel to select a new default pharmacy.
  3. Select and enter appropriate search information, and click Search to search for and select a pharmacy.
    • Click the Favorites List option to search for pharmacies in your favorites list.
    • Click the Practice List option to search for local pharmacies in your geographic area.
    • Click the All Lists option to search for all of the pharmacies available in the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface.

  4. Click on a row to select that pharmacy as the patient's default pharmacy for medical prescriptions.
    • If the pharmacy is not listed, click My pharmacy is not listed and add the pharmacy information to the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface. Double-check the pharmacy information to ensure that it is a new pharmacy. All prescriptions will be sent via fax to the new pharmacy until the pharmacy is validated.
    • To add the pharmacy to your favorites list, click Favorite .
    • To remove the pharmacy from your favorites list, click Unfavorite .
