Setting Up ExamWRITER

Before using the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface, complete the following setup task in ExamWRITER so that you can send prescriptions electronically through the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface.

  1. On the OfficeMate Administration main window, click Setup, select ExamWRITER, and select Preferences.

    OR

    On the ExamWRITER Administration main window, click Activities, and select Preferences.

  2. Click the Defaults tab.

  3. Select one of the following preferences:

    • If you selected the SINGLE line per heading Exam Default View on the General tab, select the Yes option next to the Insert “No ~ exists except:” in Patient Hx preference.
    • If you selected the MULTIPLE lines Exam Default View on the General tab, select the No option next to the Insert “No ~ exists except:” in Patient Hx preference.
  4. Click Save/Exit to save your changes and close the Preferences window.
