Viewing Pending Prescriptions
- Click eRX Status on the ExamWRITER main window toolbar.
If you are not logged into ExamWRITER as a physician, ensure that the correct user is selected from the User ID drop-down menu, enter the password associated with the user ID in the Password field if necessary, and click Login. You must be a registered ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface user to log in to the interface.
The ePrescribe Status window opens. If patient prescriptions were signed in the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface but not sent electronically, the number of prescriptions not sent is noted.
- Click Pending RXs.
The ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface opens and displays all of the pending prescriptions for patients assigned to the provider logged into ExamWRITER.
If you are using ExamWRITER in a multilocation environment, click the practice link in the upper-right corner and select the practice from which you are prescribing the medication.

If a pharmacy-related fax machine failure occurs, DrFirst will contact your practice and inform you that you must call the prescription in to the pharmacy directly. If your office is closed or it is after business hours, DrFirst will notify your answering service.
