User Definitions

This section includes definitions for the users that you set up when you activated the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface with the Eyefinity Sales team. The features available to you in the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface are dependent on your user status.

Physicians (including physician assistants and nurses) can create, sign, send, and print prescriptions. They can also change the signature password; add and modify favorite prescriptions, pharmacy information, and user preferences; and create and print the Periodic Report and Pharmacy Report.

Agents can create, send, and print prescriptions, but they cannot sign prescriptions. They can also add and modify favorite prescriptions, pharmacy information, and user preferences, and print the Periodic Report and Pharmacy Report. Clinical staff members can create, print, and archive prescriptions, but they cannot sign or send prescriptions. They can also add and modify favorite prescriptions, pharmacy information, and user preferences, and print the Periodic Report and Pharmacy Report.

Nonclinical staff members can open the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface, select pharmacies for patients, and print and archive pending prescriptions, but they cannot create, sign, or send prescriptions. They can also add and modify favorite prescriptions, pharmacy information, and user preferences, and print the Periodic Report and Pharmacy Report.

Administrators can add and modify user and location preferences and create and print the Activity Report, Drug Report, Patient Data Audit Report, Decision Report, Periodic Report, and Pharmacy Report. Every office will have at least one administrator, and each administrator will also be set up as a physician, agent, clinical staff member, or nonclinical staff member.

Student staff members can create and archive prescriptions, but they cannot print, sign, or send prescriptions. They can also add and modify favorite prescriptions, pharmacy information, and user preferences, and print the Periodic Report and Pharmacy Report.
