Mapping Network Drives on Windows 10

You may need to disable your Windows Firewall in order to properly view mapped network drives. Contact your hardware and network technician and discuss the ramifications of disabling your Windows Firewall before completing this action.
  1. Ensure that the server or computer where your OfficeMate Suite data files are stored has file sharing enabled and has the file access rights and user permissions set to Co-Owner .
  2. Type “This PC” in the search box in the lower left corner of the screen.
  3. Select This PC Desktop app.
  4. Click Map network drive from the toolbar menu.
    If you do not see the Map network drive button, ensure that the Ribbon is expanded (Ctrl + F1) and you are viewing the Computer tab.

    The Map Network Drive window opens.

  5. Select a drive letter from the Drive drop-down menu.
    For uniformity, map this drive on all computers to the same letter.
  6. Type the path to the OfficeMate folder in the Folder text box.

    OR

    Select a path to the OfficeMate folder from the Folder drop-down menu.

    OR

    Click Browse, navigate to the OfficeMate folder, and click OK.

  7. If prompted, enter your user name and password, select the Remember my credentials check box, and click OK.
  8. Select the Reconnect at logon check box to remap the network drive each time you restart your computer.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Verify that the mapped drive has been created by clicking the Start button and clicking the This PC icon.

    The mapped network drive is listed in the Network locations section.
