15.3.6200 Release Notes

Released August 25th, 2025

This page describes the enhancements, fixes, and known issues in the latest OfficeMate/ExamWRITER release.

OfficeMate Enhancements

  • We added a 'Deceased' selection in the criteria for the Internal Marketing report to streamline the process of identifying deceased clients.

  • To ensure accurate claim processing, the Location Maintenance > Name field now includes a tool-tip for location type entries. This tool-tip reminds you to limit the name to 30 characters, aligning with claims box 32 specifications.

OfficeMate Fixed Issues

  • The Internal Marketing report now processes selections for Frame Designer, Source, and Lens Manufacturer correctly, eliminating previous error messages and freezing issues.
  • We resolved an issue that caused age, DOB, and phone labels to appear on contact lens prescriptions when the print option was set to 'No'. This happened primarily in OfficeMate, since customers usually print from there, but could also happen in ExamWRITER when customers printed from there.

ExamWRITER Enhancements

  • Selecting the Angiography - 92137 form under Special Testing, the Retina - 92134 form opens automatically for completion before allowing you to proceed.

  • When you copy forward a contact lens exam, an alert now displays if the contact lenses on the exam have been discontinued or are otherwise inactive.

ExamWRITER Fixed Issues

  • Changing or adding selections within the Examination WNL selections no longer reverts back to 'Bilateral' default selections when exiting the window.
  • We corrected an issue in Special Testing > Dark Adaptation that removed values from the 'Rod Intercept' and 'Fixation Error Rate' selections after selecting 'Process.'
  • We corrected an issue that caused ExamWRITER to stall intermittently when saving or exiting from random pop-up windows while creating or editing an exam.
  • We corrected an issue that was causing an error to occur when deleting a Care Plan in an exam.

Equipment Interface Enhancements

  • To prevent a mistaken patient selection for practices with multiple exam lanes using ZEISS equipment, we added a 'Use Selected Patient' button that must be clicked after selecting a patient.
  • We fixed an issue that was causing users to receive errors when loading TriZetto ERAs after upgrading to the May 2025 OfficeMate release.

Regulatory Enhancements

    • Electronic Case Reporting
    • Immunization Registry Reporting
  • We updated sub-menus for Clinical Practice Improvement activities, Promoting Interoperability Program and Quality, and Reporting to reflect 2025 MIPS criteria.

USCDI

  • We added Occupation, Related Person's Name, Relationship, and Former Name information to USCDI generation to comply with updates to the USCDI v3.
  • Final spectacle prescriptions, including VAs and prisms, are now exchangeable in the USCDI to make transitioning patient care and sharing clinical summaries easier for providers and patients.
  • We added an 'Import All' check box selection to the Import CDA screen. You can use this to quickly select all items to import and then deselect any you wish to exclude.

ICD-10

  • We updated ICD-10 autocoding under Impressions > Systemic > Multiple Sclerosis to help ensure claims are documented accurately and not rejected. For more information, see 2026 ICD-10 Updates.

Fixed Issues

  • We corrected various patient information items that were missing or appearing incorrectly in patient USCDIs.

ePrescribing Updates

  • Clicking the 'Add' button multiple times no longer results in duplicate medication records being created. Now, only one medication record will appear even if the 'Add' button is clicked multiple times.
  • An issue that caused the system to become unresponsive when selecting 'Print don't Send' or 'Sign don't Send' for discharge prescriptions has been corrected.
