Understanding the Data Elements

Provide a link to this page to the person or entity with whom you're sharing patient data. This page is intended to help developers navigate the data export files and understand the data elements contained within them.

The data export is a one-time export of XML files and does not establish a continual transmission of data to another system. The receiving party will need to develop a method of parsing the XML files and extracting the relevant data. Eyefinity does not provide support for extracting data from the export files.

Each patient record is saved as a standalone XML file. The XML filenames include the patient's record number in the OfficeMate/ExamWRITER software followed by a .txt extension. Each XML file contains the following elements:

• RxSection
• ExamSection
