Copying Billing Rules

You can copy billing rules created for one insurance carrier to one or more carriers. You can also copy billing rules created for one plan to one or more plans for the same carrier. When you copy billing rules, you can replace any billing rules that already exist for the new carriers or plans.

To copy billing rules

  1. Search for the billing rule you want to copy. See Searching for Billing Rules.
  2. Click Copy.
  3. In the Copy Billing Rules window, perform one of the following procedures:
    • To copy billing rules from one carrier to other carriers, select the check box for each carrier in the To Carrier drop-down list.
    • To copy billing rules from one plan to other plans, select the check box for each plan in the To Plan drop-down list.
  4. Select the check box for each billing rule you want to copy in the Billing Rules drop-down list. To copy all billing rules from your search results, select the Select All Rules check box.
  5. To overwrite any existing billing rules that conflict with those you selected, select the Replace Conflicting Rules check box.
  6. Click Copy.
  7. In the confirmation message, click OK.
