To modify insurance plan information for the VSP interface

The following procedure covers the part of the setup process required to use the VSP interface. You may have completed some of the steps while setting up your company in AcuityLogic Admin. See Adding and Modifying Insurance Plans.

  1. In AcuityLogic Admin, click Insurance and select Plan.

    The Insurance Plan window opens.

  2. Search for a VSP plan and click the link in the Plan Name column.

The fields for setting up the insurance plan appear.

  3. In the Plan Fields section, enter the plan code from the preceding table in the Plan Code field.
Do not enter a plan code if you are setting up a dummy plan, such as VSP Coordination of Benefits or VSP Unknown Plan.
  4. If the plan’s eligibility and authorization rules are different from the carrier’s, select the Override Carrier Rule check box and record the plan’s eligibility and authorization rules in the Carrier Rules section.
  5. If the plan’s address is different from the carrier’s, select the Override Carrier’s Address Fields check box and record the plan’s address information in the Address Fields section.
  6. If the plan’s settings for the CMS 1500 form are different from the carrier’s, select the Override Carrier’s HCFA Settings check box and record the plan’s CMS 1500 settings in the HCFA Specific Fields section.
  7. Click Save.
