To set up a patient profile for VSP insurance

1. In AcuityLogic POS, open the patient's profile. See Opening Patient Profiles.
2. Enter the patient’s name in the First Name and Last Name fields.
   • Do NOT enter anything in the MI field. VSP includes the middle initial with the first name, so enter the middle initial after the first name in the First Name field.
   • If the patient is listed as a Jr, Sr, II, III, and so on at VSP, the patient profile in AcuityLogic must use the exact title to enable the VSP interface to find a match. Enter titles in the last name field.
3. Review the patient’s address and phone number information to make sure it is correct. Missing or incorrect contact information may make you unable to obtain the patient’s eligibility.
