Admin Enhancements
Admin includes enhancements in the following areas:
Setting Up Management Functionality Access
To provide more robust control for accessing the management functions in POS, a new Management Area access option has been added to allow or prevent users from accessing these functions by clicking the Management button. The Management Area access option can be used with either the Access by Option or Access by Role methods for setting up security roles.
Uploading Contact Lenses
You can now upload contact lenses to AcuityLogic from the XML files provided to you by your contact lens supplier. After Eyefinity sets up the required X-Link integrations and a target directory on an FTP server or network files location, you can upload contact lenses from processed XML files in the new Load Contact Lenses window.
Billing Enhancements
Billing includes an enhancement in the following area:
Entering Payment Deposit Dates
When you add or edit patient, carrier, or electronic remittance payments, you can now enter dates in the Deposit Date field that are up to 12 months in the past. Previously, you were able to only enter deposit dates up to one month in the past.
POS Enhancements
POS includes an enhancement in the following area:
Storing Patient Documents
The following enhancements are now available for patient document storage:
- Patient document storage can now be configured so that new folders are created automatically based on a folder's document count. Once the configuration is updated, the system checks periodically and creates new folders when the current folder's document count meets or exceeds the specified count.
- Azure Storage is now supported for patient document storage.
Fixed Issues
AcuityLogic 8.5 fixes issues in the following area
BackOffice
- The Daily Office Flash Report (AC112) now shows the correct region for each office included in the report. Previously, the region shown was sometimes not the region to which the office was mapped.
DC
- The status of a vendor order is now updated to Fully Received when the quantity of one or more items on the vendor receipt created for the order exceeds the initial order quantity. Previously, when the pull from PO method was used to create the vendor receipt, the status of the vendor order was updated to Partially Received.
POS
- The Login window no longer appears unnecessarily in the following scenarios:
- When you click Close Office in the confirmation window for performing a daily closing.
- When you click the Print icon to print the appointment schedule in Book View of the Scheduler.
- When you schedule an appointment for a patient and record insurance information, a duplicate appointment no longer appears in the Scheduler.
- You can now access and generate the Required Note Audit Report from the Standard Reports window.The Required Note Audit Report (MISC103) can now also be accessed and generated from the Miscellaneous Reports window in BackOffice.
- You no longer receive an unknown error when you attempt to apply insurance to an exam-only order before saving the order.
- When you apply an insurance plan with the Material Allowance special option method to an order, the material allowance is now applied only to the material type selected for the plan. Previously, the material allowance was applied to material types not selected for the plan.
As part of this update, Frame and Lenses Only were added to the Material Type drop-down list for setting up the Material Allowance special option method.
Known Issues
AcuityLogic 8.5 has the following known issue in Admin:
- In the Employee window, you may receive an unknown error when assigning a security role to an employee. If you receive an unknown error, contact Eyefinity Customer Care for assistance.
