Setting Up Eyeglass Lenses for Individual Companies

For multitenant environments, administrators with access to AcuityLogic Admin for the parent company can complete the setup for eyeglass lenses for all companies. After the initial setup is complete, eyeglass lenses can be set up or updated for individual companies using the following procedures.

Administrators of the parent company can create and modify eyeglass lenses for all companies from the Product menu. See Creating and Modifying Eyeglass Lenses.

This section explains how to set up eyeglass lenses for individual companies.

The price you enter for all lens attributes is the price per lens.
  1. In AcuityLogic Admin, click Company and select Product Mapping.
  2. In the Products window, click the Eyeglass Lens link for a company.
  3. In the Eyeglass Lens window, select the lens attribute you want to price from the Item Type drop-down list.

    All the available items for the selected lens attribute appear.

  4. (Optional) Update the Company Item Name field for the item that you want to price.
  5. (Optional) Update the company cost for the item in the Cost field.
  6. Click the Pricing link for the item that you want to price.
    • For Tints, Edgings, Coatings, and Miscellaneous Extras, you must select the Include check box to map the item to your company before the Pricing link is available.
    • To set the same price for all items in the mapping window, click Set Default Price, enter the price in the Default Price field, and click Save. The price is entered only for the default price list.
  7. In the Pricing window, enter the price per lens for the item.

    If you have more than one price list, more than one row of prices is displayed.

  8. Click Save to save your changes or click Save & Return to save your changes and close the Pricing window.
  9. Click Save to close the Eyeglass Lens window.

After you price the lens attributes for the eyeglass lenses that you want to offer, you can map the eyeglass lenses to make them available in AcuityLogic POS .

The price shown in AcuityLogic POS for an eyeglass lens is two times the total price of its individual lens attributes because the price shown is for a pair of lenses.

  1. In AcuityLogic Admin, click Company and select Product Mapping.

  2. In the Products window, click the Eyeglass Lens link for a company.
  3. In the Eyeglass Lens window, select Eyeglass Lens from the Item Type drop-down list.
  4. Deselect the Included check box and click Find to show all unmapped eyeglass lenses.
    • Use the Type, Material, and Style drop-down lists to search for eyeglass lenses by lens base type, material, or style.
    • Leave the Included check box selected if you want to find mapped eyeglass lenses.
  5. (Optional) Update the Company Item Name field for the eyeglass lens that you want to map.
  6. (Optional) Update the Receipt Description field for the eyeglass lens that you want to map. The receipt description appears on customer receipts for the lens.
  7. Do not edit the Cost field.
  8. Select the Include check box for the eyeglass lens that you want to map.
    • Select the Include check box in the Include column header to map all eyeglass lenses on the current page.
    • Deselect the Include check box for an eyeglass lens if you no longer want to make it available in AcuityLogic POS.
  9. Click Save to map the selected eyeglass lenses.
