Navigating Analytics
Watch the following video or take a look at the information below to learn more about navigating Analytics.
Clicking the Analytics tab takes you to the Analytics dashboard. From there, you can view the following types of reports:
- Clinical and Operational. Reports covering business aspects of your practice such as productivity, coding summaries, and patient demographics. For more information on the reports included in this section, see Generating Clinical and Operational Reports.
- Specialty Specific. Reports that are specific to eye care. For more information on the reports included in this section, see Generating Eye Care Reports.
Clicking either of these two options displays a variety of reports you can choose from. Selecting a report generates and opens it.
Almost every report has the following two display options:
- Visualization. A collection of visuals such as bar graphs and pie charts that you can evaluate at a glance. Selecting a report from the main menu typically takes you to that report's visualization.
-
Custom Report. The raw data of the report in a spreadsheet format. You can decide what information appears by selecting dimensions and measures from the options along the side of the screen. To view custom reports, you'll need to click the Custom Report button from within a visualization.
For more information on these report formats, see Reviewing Reports.
To exit the report you're viewing, click the Return to Menu button. You can also use the navigation bar at the top of the screen to view the next/previous report or jump to a specific report by selecting a sheet from the drop-down list.
Many buttons and visuals within Analytics reveal additional information when you hover your mouse over them. If you're ever trying to figure out what something is, try hovering your mouse over it to see if a tooltip appears.
