Editing a Patient’s Family History
This section explains how to record the details of the patient’s family history and how to mark the patient’s family history as reviewed.
To add a patient’s family history
- Open the patient’s Clipboard.
For more information on opening the Clipboard, go to Accessing the Clipboard.
- Click the Family History button.
- In Family History, enter the first few letters of the medical condition name to search.
- If the patient has no family history, search for clinical and select No family history of clinical findings.
- Click the name of the medical condition.
The medical condition is added to the patient Clipboard, and a list of family members appears.
- Select the family members who have or have had the medical condition.

Click Save.
