Editing a Patient’s Family History

This section explains how to record the details of the patient’s family history and how to mark the patient’s family history as reviewed.

To add a patient’s family history

  1. Open the patient’s Clipboard.

    For more information on opening the Clipboard, go to Accessing the Clipboard.

  2. Click the Family History button.
  3. In Family History, enter the first few letters of the medical condition name to search.
  4. If the patient has no family history, search for clinical and select No family history of clinical findings.
  5. Click the name of the medical condition.

    The medical condition is added to the patient Clipboard, and a list of family members appears.

  6. Select the family members who have or have had the medical condition.
  7. Click Save.
