Editing the Problem List

The problem list is automatically populated as you begin to treat the patient and record the chief complaints. This section explains how to add a problem and how to mark a patient as having no known problems.

To add a problem item

  1. Open the patient’s Clipboard.

    For more information on opening the Clipboard, go to Accessing the Clipboard.

  2. Click the Problem List button.
  3. In Problem, enter the first few numbers of the ICD-10 code or enter the first few letters of the patient’s diagnosis.
  4. Select the name of the diagnosis.

    The diagnosis is added to the patient’s Clipboard

  5. Answer the questions regarding the diagnosis.
  6. Click Save.
