Performing a Review of Systems

This section explains how to record the review of systems and how to set alerts for the patient.

To perform a review of systems

  1. Open a patient visit.

  2. Click the CC/HPI/ROS button on the Action Bar, or click the Manage link in the CC/HPI section of the patient visit.

    The Manage History screen opens and the Chief Complaint/HPI tab opens.

  3. Click the Review of Systems tab.

    The Review of Systems tab opens.

  4. For a new patient, set the toggle to on for the conditions the patient is positive for and click Mark All Reviewed.

    For an existing patient, click Mark Custom Reviewed.

    To maximize your billing, you must indicate you asked about more than one system.

  5. For each of the alerts, select Yes for the conditions the patient is positive for.

    When you set an alert for the patient, the alert appears in the information area at the top of the screen for the patient.

  6. Click Save.
