Merging Duplicate Patients
Patient charts in Eyefinity EHR cannot be merged. If you have a duplicate patient, you'll need to reconcile the two records manually. To reconcile the two records, you must first transfer any data you wish to save from the duplicate chart into the correct chart and then archive the duplicate chart.
- Download all attachments from the duplicate chart.
- Download all visit notes as PDFs from the duplicate chart.
- Upload the attachments to the correct patient chart.
- Upload the visit note PDFs as attachments to the correct patient chart or document the visit information as new notes manually.
- Archive the duplicate chart. For more information, go to Archiving Patients.
If you use Eyefinity Practice Management, don't archive the duplicate chart in Eyefinity EHR. Instead, merge the patient records in Eyefinity Practice Management, and the duplicate chart will be archived in Eyefinity EHR automatically. For more information, go to Merging Patients in the Eyefinity Practice Management help center.
