Displaying Images
Image Management has several tools to help you review and present diagnostic imaging. You can share side-by-side comparisons, changes over time, and more with your patient from the comfort of your computer screen or iPad.
This section covers the different ways to display images using Image Management.
Full Screen Display
Full screen display enables you to take a closer look at a particular image.
Click an image thumbnail to expand it to a full screen view.
- To zoom, use the zoom bar or click the magnifying glass to zoom in our out.
- To view the next/previous image, click the arrows on the screen or use the left and right arrows on your keyboard to cycle through images.
- To place drawings or text on an image, use the drawing tools. For more information, see Drawing Annotations.

Side by Side View
Side by side view enables you to compare different images.
On the Image Management overview screen, click the Compare button.
- To change the images being displayed on one side of the screen, use the drop-down list above that section.
- To sync the studies, click the Sync button. When studies are synced, they mirror each other whenever you scroll, zoom, or advance to the next image.
- To view an image in full screen, click the eyeball icon. This ends the comparison.
While in full screen display, tap Side by Side and select the exam you'd like to compare with from the drop-down list.
- To change the images being displayed on the right side of the screen, tap Side by Side and select another exam from the drop-down list. You can change the images being displayed on the left by exiting the comparison, selecting a new exam, and tapping Side by Side again.
- To sync the exams, tap the Sync button. When exams are synced, they mirror each other whenever you scroll, zoom, or advance to the next image. Synced exams will also play side by side when you tap the play button.
Proof Sheets
Selecting the Proofsheet button on either the browser or iPad app fills the screen with all images taken for a patient by a device on a particular day. This view option is especially helpful when several photos have been taken for a patient, as you can visually scan through all of the images and select those you want to take a closer look at.
Live Playback
Scans taken with an OCT can be played frame by frame on the screen. To play the scan, select the play button.
On the iPad, you can increase the amount of time in between each slide if you want to slow the playback down. You can also use the playback feature on the iPad to view a collection of images taken by a device on a particular day like you would a slide show. This feature is available in both full screen display and side by side view. If your side by side comparison is synced, both series of images will play side by side.
