Performing Testing for Specific Eye Conditions in the iPad App
The Vision Exam screen allows you to record test results for other types of conditions such as glaucoma A disease characterized by elevated intraocular pressure, which causes optic nerve damage and subsequent peripheral vision loss. Most people have no initial symptoms of chronic (open-angle) glaucoma, but you can develop peripheral vision loss, headaches, blurred vision, difficulty adapting to darkness, and halos around lights. Other forms of glaucoma (e.g., closed-angle glaucoma) may have additional symptoms such as eye pain, a pupil that does not respond to light, redness, nausea, and a bulging eye., macular degeneration
Disorder characterized by changes in the eye's macula that result in the gradual loss of central vision. The exact cause is unknown, but appears to be related to a genetic predisposition, smoking, and several other risk factors. Central vision may be blurred, distorted (metamorphopsia), or shadowy before vision loss occurs., and color blindness.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Tap Binocular.
The Binocular
Both eyes. Tests screen opens.
- To jump to a specific section, use the Jump to Section drop-down menu.
- Select values for the Cover Tests or tap Add Cover Ortho from anywhere in the vision exam.
- Select values for Phorias for Distance and Phorias for Near.
- Select values for the AC/A Ratio.
- Select values for the Near Point Convergence and Near Point Accommodation.
- Select values for Vergence, Cross-Cylinder, Relative Accommodation, and Fusion/Stereopsis.
- Select values for Worth Four Dot test results, TitCompliances Stereo test results, and Dominance.
- Tap Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen

- Tap Misc Tests.
The Miscellaneous Tests screen opens.
- Select values for Accommodative Facility.
- Select values for MEM Retinoscopy.
- Tap Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Tap Central Retinal Thickness.
The Central Retinal
The sensory membrane that lines the eye; it is composed of several layers and functions as the immediate instrument of vision by receiving images formed by the lens and converting them into signals that reach the brain by way of the optic nerve. Thickness screen opens.
- Enter the Central Retinal Thickness in micrometers for the right and left eye.
- Tap Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Tap RNFL Thickness.
The RNFL Thickness screen opens.
- Enter the RNFL thickness in micrometers for the right and left eye.
- Tap Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Tap Pachymetry.
The Pachymetry
A technique used to measure corneal thickness. screen opens.
- Select the Corneal Pachymetry Thickness measurements for the right and left eye.
- Tap Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Tap Endothelial Counts.
The Endothelial Counts screen opens.
- Enter the Endothelial Counts for the right and left eye.
- Tap Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Tap Amsler Grid.
- If the test result was normal, tap Mark as Normal.
- If the test result was abnormal, select Abnormal in the drop-down menu, and select the abnormal result in the right and left eye grids.
- Tap Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Tap Color Vision.
The Color Vision screen opens.
- If the test result was normal, tap Mark as Normal.
- If the test result was abnormal, select Abnormal in the drop-down menu.
- Select the Test Type in the drop-down menu.
- Enter the results for the right and left eye.
- In Details, tap any plates the patient missed.

Select the Farnsworth results for the right and left eye, as needed.
- Type Additional Color Vision Notes, as needed.
- Tap Save.
