Performing Testing for Specific Eye Conditions on the iPad

The Vision Exam screen allows you to record test results for other types of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and color blindness.

  1. Open the Vision Exam screen.

    For more information, go to Opening the Vision Exam Screen on the iPad.

  2. Tap Binocular.

    The Binocular Tests screen opens.

  3. To jump to a specific section, use the Jump to Section drop-down menu.
  4. Select values for the Cover Tests or tap Add Cover Ortho from anywhere in the vision exam.
  5. Select values for Phorias for Distance and Phorias for Near.
  6. Select values for the AC/A Ratio.
  7. Select values for the Near Point Convergence and Near Point Accommodation.
  8. Select values for Vergence, Cross-Cylinder, Relative Accommodation, and Fusion/Stereopsis.
  9. Select values for Worth Four Dot test results, TitCompliances Stereo test results, and Dominance.
  10. Tap Save.

  2. Tap Misc Tests.

    The Miscellaneous Tests screen opens.

  3. Select values for Accommodative Facility.
  4. Select values for MEM Retinoscopy.
  5. Tap Save.

  2. Tap Central Retinal Thickness.

    The Central Retinal Thickness screen opens.

  3. Enter the Central Retinal Thickness in micrometers for the right and left eye.
  4. Tap Save.

  2. Tap RNFL Thickness.

    The RNFL Thickness screen opens.

  3. Enter the RNFL thickness in micrometers for the right and left eye.
  4. Tap Save.

  2. Tap Pachymetry.

    The Pachymetry screen opens.

  3. Select the Corneal Pachymetry Thickness measurements for the right and left eye.
  4. Tap Save.

  2. Tap Endothelial Counts.

    The Endothelial Counts screen opens.

  3. Enter the Endothelial Counts for the right and left eye.
  4. Tap Save.

  2. Tap Amsler Grid.

    The Amsler Grid screen opens.

  3. If the test result was normal, tap Mark as Normal.
  4. If the test result was abnormal, select Abnormal in the drop-down menu, and select the abnormal result in the right and left eye grids.
  5. Tap Save.

  2. Tap Color Vision.

    The Color Vision screen opens.

  3. If the test result was normal, tap Mark as Normal.
  4. If the test result was abnormal, select Abnormal in the drop-down menu.
  5. Select the Test Type in the drop-down menu.
  6. Enter the results for the right and left eye.
  7. In Details, tap any plates the patient missed.

  8. Select the Farnsworth results for the right and left eye, as needed.

  9. Type Additional Color Vision Notes, as needed.
  10. Tap Save.
