Converting 99 Codes to 92 Codes in the Detailed Visit Overview (iPad)
Encompass defaults to the 92 code (vision code or eye code) as long as your documentation supports the vision code. If the exam documentation doesn't support a vision code, you won't see the conversion button.

- Open a patient visit. To learn how, go to Creating or Opening a Visit (iPad).
- Locate the Billing section in the right-hand column.
- Tap the 99 vs. 92 Code button.
A comparison of the 99- and 92-codes appears. The amount displayed is an estimate based off of the national average for reimbursements. It is not necessarily the amount you will be reimbursed.
If you don't see the 99 vs. 92 Code button, the exam may not contain all the elements of documentation that are required to generate a vision billing code.
- Tap the code you want to use.

The following elements are required to generate a vision code in Encompass.
Pretesting | Exam Set | Diagnosis | Plan |
