Enabling Single Sign-on

Single sign-on is a powerful feature that gives you one sign-on experience and more tightly unifies Eyefinity EHR and Eyefinity Practice Management. To enable single sign-on for your practice, contact Eyefinity customer care.

With single sign-on enabled, users will use their Eyefinity Practice Management credentials to sign in to both Eyefinity EHR and Eyefinity Practice Management.

The timing of enabling single sign-on is important because all practice users will need to complete a one-time setup process that permanently ties their Eyefinity EHR account to their Eyefinity Practice Management account. Users will be prompted to go through this process the first time they log in to Eyefinity EHR after single sign-on is enabled. Practice administrators should notify practice users of the date single sign-on will be enabled.

  • Eyefinity EHR users will need to have a corresponding Eyefinity Practice Management account, and users will need to know their usernames and passwords for both systems.
  • Users should verify their usernames and passwords in both systems before single sign-on is enabled.
  • This process establishes a one-to-one connection. Users who have a second Eyefinity EHR account (for example, doctors who are also administrators) will need a second corresponding Eyefinity Practice Management account.
  • User roles and privileges will continue to be administered independently in Eyefinity EHR and Eyefinity Practice Management. A user may be an administrator in one system but have a limited role in the other. For information on Eyefinity EHR roles, go to Understanding User Roles.
  • Single sign-on is not compatible with multifactor authentication (MFA) at this time.

We suggest asking all users to complete the one-time setup process prior to the start of business after single sign-on is enabled.

Completing the One-time Login Setup

Once single sign-on is enabled, you'll need to complete a one-time setup process the first time you attempt to log in to Eyefinity EHR. We recommend completing this process prior to seeing patients that day.

To complete the one-time setup process, choose one of the following options.
