Resetting Provider Password

If a provider has forgotten his or her password, you can reset it. (If a provider leaves the company, you should inactivate him or her.) For more information about inactivating providers, go to Deactivating Providers.

  1. On the Encompass home screen, click Administration.

    The Company: Setup screen opens.

  2. On the top menu bar, click Resources and select Provider Setup.
  3. Search for the provider.
  4. Click Reset Password in the Reset Password column.

    A temporary password appears in the Reset Password dialog box.

  5. Copy and paste the temporary password and send it to the provider whose password you are resetting so that he or she can log in and create a new password.
  6. Click OK.
