Setting Up Custom Frames

Creating New Custom Frames

To add new manufacturers or collections to your system, contact Eyefinity Customer Support.
  1. From the Admin home screen, click Frames.
  2. Click Custom Frame Setup.
  3. Select a Manufacturer.
  4. Select a Collection.
  5. Select a Model, or click + Model to enter the name of a new one.
  6. Record the Model Attributes information for the frame.
  7. Record the Frame Specific Attributes. If any custom frames already exist in the system that match the model you selected, they appear in the Frame Name drop-down list.
    The Company Item Name will appear on all patient receipts and reports. We suggest you use the following format for Company Item Names: Model/Color/Eye/Bridge/Temple.
  8. To include the frame in bulk pricing and make it available for use in Material Orders and Inventory, select the Active check box.
    If you are activating this frame for the first time, go to Inventory and update the quantity on hand. See Adjusting Inventory for more information.
  9. Click Create New Frame.

Editing Custom Frames

  1. From the Admin home screen, click Frames.
  2. Perform one of the following steps:
    • Click Custom Frame Setup and select the Manufacturer, Collection, and Model for the custom frame you want to edit.
    • Click Standard Frame Setup, search for the Manufacturer, Collection, and Model for the custom frame you want to edit, and click the Edit icon in the Custom column.
  3. Edit the frame information.
    Edge Type, Category, and Material Type cannot be changed for a Manufacturer, Collection, and Model combination that was imported to your system by Eyefinity.
  4. Click Update Existing Frame.
    If you are activating this frame for the first time, go to Inventory and update the quantity on hand. See Adjusting Inventory for more information.

Deleting Custom Frames

You can delete a custom frame only if it has not been used on an order.

  1. From the Admin home screen, click Frames.
  2. Perform one of the following steps:
    • Click Custom Frame Setup, select the Manufacturer, Collection, and Model for the custom frame you want to edit, and click Delete Frame.
    • Click Standard Frame Setup, search for the Manufacturer, Collection, and Model for the custom frame you want to edit, and click the Delete icon in the Custom column.
  3. A message appears, asking if you are sure you want to delete the frame. Click Yes.
