Looking Up Frames in the Catalog

Use the Browse Frames screen to look up information about the frames that are active for your company. You can enter information to search for frames, or filter the frame list by selected criteria. The Frame Details panel includes each frame's item #, UPC, retail price, quantity on hand, and color, along with manufacturer and measurement information. An image of the frame is also shown, if available.

Looking Up Frames by Entering Frame Information

  1. Click Catalog in the blue menu bar, and select Frames.

    The Browse Frames screen opens.

  2. In the search field, enter the manufacturer, collection, model, eye size, color family, shape, UPC, or item number for the frame(s) you want to look up. You can enter partial information.

  3. Click Search.

    The list updates to display the frames that match your criteria.

  4. Click the green down arrow next to a frame to display the Frame Details panel.

To perform another search, click Clear and repeat steps 2 and 3.

Looking Up Frames by Selecting Filters

The options available for filtering are limited to those that apply to frames currently active for your company. For example, a frame may be manufactured in five different colors, but the filter will show only three if those are the only colors active in your system.
  1. Click Catalog in the blue menu bar, and select Frames.

    The Browse Frames screen opens.

  2. Select one or more filters from the left-side menu. Click the + to see the options for each filter. You do not have to make selections for all filters, but the more filters you select, the more specific your results will be.

    • Collection — Select the check box for one or more collections. You can type a collection name to search for it.

    • Style — Select one or more styles. You can type a style name to search for it. The Style filter is available only if you have selected a Collection.

    • Color — Select one or more colors. You can type a color to search for it. The Color filter is available only if you have selected a Style.

    • Edge Type — Select one or more edge types. The Edge Type filter is available only if you have selected a Style.

    • On Hand — Select whether to show only frames that are on hand in inventory for your office (if applicable).

    • Retail Price — Select a price range.

    • Category/Type — Select one or more categories of frames you want to display, such as ophthalmic or sunglass.

    • Age Range — Select one or more age ranges.

    • Gender — Select one or more genders.

    • Item Status — Select the manufacturer's status for the item.

      "Active" or "Inactive" in this filter refers to whether the frame is active with the manufacturer. All frames displayed in the lookup results are active in your system
    • Size — Select a frame size.

    • Shape — Select one or more frame shapes.

    • Color Family — Select one or more color families.

    The list updates to display frames that match your filter criteria.

  3. Click the green down arrow next to a frame to display the Frame Details panel

To perform another search, click Clear and repeat step 2.
