Viewing Patient Appointment and Recall History

This section includes information on managing a patient’s appointment history and scheduled recalls.

Viewing Appointment History

The system saves patient appointment information for seven years. If a patient’s last visit was more than seven years ago, their last appointment is saved and displayed, to help you maintain a record of when you saw them. Otherwise, appointments older than seven years are automatically archived and don't display in Appointment History.

To open a patient's Appointment History screen, do one of the following:

  • On the left side of the Demographics screen, click Appointments, or
  • Open an existing appointment for the patient in the Appointment Calendar and click the View History link.

Viewing Recall History

  • On the left side of the Demographics screen, under Appointments, click Recalls.

    The Recall History lists the dates that the Scheduled Recall Report was run and recall notices were printed for the patient. For more information, go to Generating the Scheduled Recall Report.
