Setting Up the Diopsys Interface

  1. In the ExamWRITER main window, click Tools, select Equipment Integration Setup, and select Equipment Interface Setup.

    The Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window opens.

  2. Click Add.
  3. Select the Diopsys manufacturer and the Capture (ERG/VEP) device.
  4. Click Add.

    The settings and options appear.

  5. (Optional) Enter a Device Nickname.
  6. Click Browse, and select the location on the network where Diopsys temporarily saves the data file (for example, C:\Diopsys). This location should be the same location you set up in Setting Up the Diopsys Equipment .

    You must select an empty folder on your network that is not used by any other application, including Diopsys. If you select a folder that contains files, they will be deleted during the integration and data transfer process.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Click Add.

  9. Select the Diopsys manufacturer and the Review (Software Tool) device.
  10. Click Add.

    The settings and options appear.

  11. (Optional) Enter a Device Nickname.
  12. Click Save.
  13. Close the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window.

If you use ExamWRITER 12 and you installed the new Eyefinity Equipment Interface (see Installing the Equipment Interface), do not follow this procedure. Instead, see To set up the Diopsys interface for ExamWRITER 14 and later.

  1. In the ExamWRITER main window, click Tools, select Equipment Integration Setup, and select Equipment Interface Setup.

  2. Select the Diopsys Capture checkbox.
  3. Click Browse, and select the location on the network where Diopsys temporarily saves the data file (for example, C:\Diopsys). This location should be the same location you set up in Setting Up the Diopsys Equipment .

    You must select an empty folder on your network that is not used by any other application, including Diopsys. If you select a folder that contains files, they will be deleted during the integration and data transfer process.

  4. Click Save.
  5. Select the Diopsys Review checkbox.
  6. Click Browse, and select the location of the OfficeMate\DATA\DiopsysData folder on your network.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Click Exit.
  9. Close and reopen ExamWRITER to activate your changes.
