Setting Up the Humphrey Matrix Interface

Before using the Humphrey equipment interface, set up the Humphrey Matrix interface in ExamWRITER.

1. In the ExamWRITER main window, click Tools, select Equipment Integration Setup, and select Equipment Interface Setup.

   The Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window opens.

2. Click Add.
3. Select the Humphrey manufacturer and the Capture Matrix (Virtual Field Analyser) device.
4. Click Add.

   The settings and options appear.

5. (Optional) Enter a Device Nickname.
6. From the Select COM Port drop-down list, select a communication port number.

   For more information about your COM port, see Setting Up the Humphrey Matrix Equipment.

7. Click Save.
8. Click Add.

   The settings and options appear.

9. (Optional) Enter a Device Nickname.
10. (Humphrey Matrix 800 only) Click Browse, and select the location on the network where Humphrey Capture Matrix saves the captured retinal images.

    Select an empty folder on your network that is not used by any other application, including Humphrey Matrix. If you select a folder that contains files, they will be deleted during the integration and data transfer.

11. Click Save.

12. Click Add.

13. Select the Humphrey manufacturer and the Review Matrix (Software Tool) device.
14. Click Add.

    The settings and options appear.

15. (Optional) Enter a Device Nickname.
16. Click Save.
17. Close the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window.
