Woodlyn Medmont Interface

ExamWRITER interacts with the Woodlyn Medmont software as follows:

• Before the capture process when patient information is transferred from ExamWRITER into Woodlyn Capture to create or update retinal images
• During the review process when new or existing Woodlyn retinal images are available for on-screen review

You must install ExamWRITER and the Woodlyn Capture and Woodlyn Review applications on the computer to which the Woodlyn equipment is connected.

You then can install the Woodlyn Capture and Woodlyn Review applications on the server on which ExamWRITER is installed.

Contact Woodlyn to determine if the Woodlyn Capture and Woodlyn Review applications run on an OfficeMate/ExamWRITER server and if any additional licensing must be purchased to use it with Terminal Server. Both applications can be used on the same workstation or on two separate workstations.

The Woodlyn interface saves equipment data to the Woodlyn database. You can review the data on all computers that have ExamWRITER installed and the Woodlyn review interface enabled.

Network Connection Method

The Woodlyn equipment interface uses a serial RS-232 cable or a null modem to connect to the computer or Terminal Server. The Woodlyn interface can use only one camera per Terminal Server.
