Using the Patient Advisor Toolbar
After you set up Patient Advisor preferences, you can modify them at any time. For more information about managing Patient Advisor preferences, go to To manage location preferences.
While you are sending medical prescriptions electronically through the ExamWRITER ePrescribing interface, you have access to the Patient Advisor toolbar. This toolbar provides insights into and support for patient medication adherence and enables you to do the following:
- Track patient medication adherence rates and quickly identify patients who have not filled or adhered to medications
- Access and print evidence-based patient support tools to help solve the underlying causes of nonadherence
- Recommend financial savings programs, including coupons and copay savings, to offset patient out-of-pocket costs
- Electronically complete patient prior authorizations (ePAs) to save time and reduce prescription abandonment
