Released July 14, 2021

Eyefinity recommends that you upgrade to the July release (version 15.3.4236) of OfficeMate if you use the VSP interface (new VSP interface or classic VSP interface).

If you do not use the VSP interface, you can skip the July release and upgrade directly to the next release, which is due out in late August or early September 2021. That release is required for everyone because it has the ICD-10 code updates. It is also required if you use ePrescribing or the VSP interface.

OfficeMate includes fixes in the following areas:

Appointment Scheduler

  • By default, all appointments are now automatically transmitted from OfficeMate to Eyefinity EHR.

    To prevent appointments for selected resources (such as a room or a location) from being transmitted to Eyefinity EHR, see "To prevent resources from sending Scheduler messages" in Setting Up the Appointment Scheduler.

Claim Validation Errors in the New VSP Interface

  • When OfficeMate uses the new VSP interface to process claims
    • The following validation errors no longer occur:

      • OFFEXP0012 — Prescription information does not meet VSP minimum requirements for the selected benefit

      • OFFEXP0018 — Frame supplier is required

      • OFFHDR2002 — Frame service is not payable

      • OFFHDR2006 — Lens service is not payable

    • If a patient's demographic information in OfficeMate contains a valid address, you no longer receive error OFFEXP0042 ("Please Enter a Valid Address") when submitting a VSP claim for that patient through the new VSP interface.

  • When OfficeMate uses the classic VSP interface to process valid claims whose last item on a fee slip is not billed to VSP, OfficeMate no longer processes only the exam item on the claim.
