OfficeMate Enhancements
- For internal marketing reports, you can now select a date range based on fee slip ranges, not just default to the last exam date range.
- You can now print all routing slips for patients on a given date all at once. You can also filter by provider and location and print all routing slips for all patients seen by a particular provider on a given date.
Here's how to print the routing slips:
- Open OfficeMate.
- Select Tasks on the top menu bar.
- Select Print Batch Routing Slips.
The document name for this feature to work must be *Routing Slip. You can find this document in Maintain Documents.
- Batch routing slips will print in order of exam time. This makes it easier to find patients within the selection of printed routing slips.
- Exam data does not push to the CQM Solution site until the exam has been finalized. This prevents invalid data from being included in counts and measures even if a patient ends up being a no show or cancels their exam. Counts will not be updated until the exams are closed or finalized.
OfficeMate Fixed Issues
- We corrected an error that caused some of the average net percentages on the Insurance Sales Total Report to calculate incorrectly.
- We corrected an issue that gave clients an error and resulted in a negative balance when attempting to complete an insurance charge back for a patient with no insurance balance.
- Insurance overpayments in OfficeMate receipts will now apply and calculate correctly.
- When printing eyewear orders, if a frame mount name selected for an eyewear order is longer than 8 characters, the entire name will now appear in the mount box. Previously, frame mount names longer than 8 characters wrapped to the next line and pushed the rest of the name to appear below the mount box.
- We fixed an issue that prevented the Patient Quicklist from updating changes made in patient demographics.
- Values entered into the Base Fee or Base Cost fields in the All Locations Inventory can now be removed or set back to zero if desired.
- We fixed an issue that prevented users from being able to print VSP packing slips from within OfficeMate after installing the 15.3.4957 upgrade.
- Clients who cancel their Secure Messaging subscription will now continue to receive notifications for messages waiting in ConnectEHR. This will allow clients to continue to access their data even after moving away from the service.
- We fixed an issue that caused a flashing 'Status Change' button to appear after selecting Next or Previous when working in the Product Details tab.
ExamWRITER Enhancements
- In social history, you can now record that a patient smokes less than a pack per day of cigarettes. Previously, the lowest number available to select was '1'.
- In order to accommodate lenses on the market that allow refractive prisms to go to .50 diopters, providers can now specify less than .25 diopters in the prism field in ExamWRITER.
- New autocoding ICD-10 codes for muscle entrapment have been added to Impressions EOM in ExamWRITER, appearing in a subwindow when the new Entrapment check box is selected.
- New autocoding ICD-10 codes for foreign body sensation have been added to the Impressions Foreign Body in ExamWRITER.
- New autocoding ICD-10 codes for Sickle Cell Retinopathy have been added to Impressions Retinal Vascular in ExamWRITER, appearing in a sub-window when the Sickle cell check box is selected. Previous coding selections were removed.
ExamWRITER Fixed Issues
- We corrected an issue that caused an extra date to be added to the beginning of any subsequent diagnosis lines in the Ocular History window, when multiple diagnoses were added on the same date.
- Patients screened for high blood pressure during a given measurement period will appear in the resulting data even if they only have one visit in their history and within the measurement period. Previously, only patients with two or more visits in their history and two visits in the reporting period were counted.
- Patients who undergo BMI screening and are found to be above or below the normal range are now counted in the data collected for this measure. Previously, patients who fell within the normal range were counted.
- When updating the cell phone field in the Correspondence Maintenance window for a specific provider, that update will save and apply only to the indicated provider. Previously, the update applied to all providers.
Equipment Interface Enhancements
- ADD fields now populate under the Wearing section of Eyefinity EHR when using the Topcon CV-5000S integration for Eyefinity subscribers using OfficeMate with Eyefinity EHR.
Regulatory Enhancements
- The 2024 ICD-10 code changes are included in this release. The changes will automatically go into effect in OfficeMate for exams with a services date of October 1, 2023, or later. The autocoding changes in ExamWRITER will also take effect October 1. To learn more about the ICD-10 changes, go to 2024 ICD-10 Updates.
Fixed Issues
- This release fixes an issue that prevented the autoupdate feature from downloading and installing updates. After downloading and installing this update, you will be able to install future updates through the autoupdate feature.
- We resolved an error that appears when the Reports & Statements window opens. This error will continue to appear for 24 hours after the update is installed. Despite the error, reports are generating correctly.
