Reconciling Changes Made by the Patient

Using the Patient Portal or Kiosk, a patient can add or edit their past medical history, ocular history, medications, allergies, social history, and family history. Eyefinity EHR notifies you when a patient makes any changes. After you have been notified, you can choose whether to accept the changes and add them to the patient’s chart, or reject the changes.

You can see changes that were made, when they were made, by whom they were made by, and the current status of the changes.

To reconcile changes made by the patient

  1. Open the patient’s Clipboard.

For more information on opening the Clipboard, go to Accessing the Clipboard.

  2. Click the item you want to reconcile, such as Medications, Allergies, etc.
  3. Click Reconciliation with Summary.
  4. Click Accept to add the changes to the patient’s chart, or click Reject to cancel the changes.
