Release Notes
Because Encompass™ is cloud based, your software is automatically updated to the latest version of Encompass. However, you'll need to visit the App Store to download the latest iPad app.
Additionally, new releases are pushed to your training sandbox approximately two weeks prior to the official release to give you an opportunity to explore new features. To learn more, go to Accessing Your Training Sandbox.

This release includes the following features and enhancements:
- Document new vision exam tests from the Detailed Visit Overview. You can now add new vision exam tests more quickly and with less disruption when using the detailed visit overview workflow.
- Filter your most frequently used specialty contact lenses and usage field selections to save you clicks, taps, and time spent scrolling!
- Alerts button replaced by Quick View to improve usability and reduce clutter.
- Improved workflows for invalid and unspecified ICD-10 codes to help clarify which information is missing when you finalize visits.

This release includes the following features and enhancements:
- Refill a prescription from within a visit. This option streamlines routine medication prescriptions for patients and incorporates prescriptions into billing for visits.
- Mark pupils, motility, and visual fields as normal with one click. Save yourself multiple clicks when using the single screen workflow in the web application.
- Use additional PDF Manager/Kit smart tags. You can pull more precise data from patient records into the appropriate forms, saving you time by minimizing administrative work.
- Select Specific Provider and Facility on CCDAs. Previously, visits documented by all providers at all locations were sent automatically to Health Information Exchanges, but now you can narrow this focus.
- Quickly select polycarbonate for glasses prescriptions. A new Polycarbonate toggle on the Final Glasses Rx window allows you to apply this feature to lenses with less scrolling.
