Editing Medications and Drug Interactions on the iPad
This section explains how to record the medications the patient takes and how to review drug interactions for the medications. If the patient has previously filled medications electronically, you can import a list of those medications directly into Eyefinity EHR. For more information, see Importing Medications from Surescripts on the iPad.
- Open the patient’s Clipboard.

- Tap the Medications tab.
- Tap Add Medication.
A Search window opens.
- Enter the first few letters of the medication name to search.
- Tap the name of the medication.
The Select Dispensable window opens.
- Tap the dosage for the medication, or tap Add with unspecified dispensable to add the medication without specifying a dosage.
The medication is added to the patient’s Clipboard.
- Tap Print Active Meds to print the list of medications, if needed.
- Tap Done or navigate to another section.
Your changes are automatically saved.
- Open the patient’s Clipboard.

- Tap the Medications tab.
- Tap the Active (or Inactive) toggle to activate or deactivate a medication.
- Tap Done or navigate to another section.

- Tap the Medications tab.
The Medications screen opens.
- Tap Mark No Meds.
- Tap Done or navigate to another section.
Your changes are automatically saved.
- Open the patient's chart.
- Tap Drug Interactions.
The Drug Interactions window opens and displays a list of drug interactions for the patient.
- Review the drug interactions.
- Tap Cancel to close the Drug Interactions window.
- Open the patient’s Clipboard.

- Tap the Medications button.
- Tap Drug Interactions.
The Drug Interactions button appears only if one or more medications have been added for the patient.
The Drug Interactions window opens and displays a list of drug interactions for the patient.
- Review the drug interactions.
- Tap Cancel to close the Drug Interactions window.
