Integrating Eyefinity APIs with Certified Partners
This section describes how to set up Encompass so you can begin using it with Eyefinity Patient Engagement certified partners (for example, Solutionreach, 4PatientCare, Demandforce) and Bulk Data API partners (such as EDGEPro GPN Technologies).
Once set up, your practice can send engagement campaigns to your patients using the tools provided by Patient Engagement certified partners or your partners can use the Bulk Data API to pull a snapshot of your data.
See the Eyefinity Certified Partners page on eyefinity.com for a list of certified partners.
Verifying Administrators are Properly Set Up
The first step in setting up the interface for certified partners is to ensure users who authorize access to your data are administrators. Encompass creates an audit log each time an administrator gives a certified partner permission to access your data. Additionally, all appointments and engagement tracking information created by the Patient Engagement certified partner is tracked and can be audited through a report.
- From the menu, select Resources and then Provider Setup or Staff Setup.
- Search for the administrative provider or staff member who will authorize the Patient Engagement certified partner.
- Click Modify in the Security column.
- Ensure the Security Setup or Company Setup check box is selected.
- Click Save.
- Click on the provider/staff member name to edit their information.
- For the Works at Office(s) option, ensure at least one office is selected.
- Click Save.
- Verify the administrative provider or staff member can log in to practice management in Eyefinity Encompass.
For more information, go to Setting Up Your Resources (Providers, Staff, and Office Resources).
Enabling Access to the Patient Engagement Interface
After you verify the administrators are properly set up to facilitate the transfer of data, the administrator can enable access to the Patient Engagement Interface. Whenever an administrator enables access, a user account with restricted access is automatically created for the certified partner.
- Go to the portal provided to you from the Patient Engagement certified partner. A Sign On window opens.
- Log into the portal using your Encompass username and password (as verified in Verifying Administrators are Properly Set Up).If there is no field for you to enter your office number, then you must append the username with “_pm_COMPANYID_pm” when you log into the portal. For example, if the provider or staff member’s username is “testepmuser” and your office ID is 12345, then the username that you must type when logging into the portal is “testepmuser_pm_12345_pm.”
-
Select the information you want the Patient Engagement certified partner to be able to access and click Allow.

To disable access to the Patient Engagement Interface, either call Eyefinity at 1.800.942.5353 and request we block the certified partner's access to your system or complete the instructions below.
