Generating the Patient Audit Report
The Patient Audit Report allows you to list and print patient profile, appointment, exam, billing, audit, user, and patient name change notes. You can select to print notes recorded by a single resource or by all resources.
What do you want to do?
Generate the report
- Click Reporting and select Standard Reports.
- Click Patient Reports.
- Click Patient Audit Report.
- Enter the date range to print, or select dates from the calendar.
- Select a Resource.
- Select one or more Note Types to include.
- Select Profile to include notes recorded in the Notes window in Patient Demographics.

- Select Appointments to include notes recorded in the Add Appointment window.

- Select Exams to include Rx notes recorded in the Rx: Glasses or Rx: Contact Lenses windows.

- Select Billing to include notes recorded during claims processing.
- Select Audit to include notes recorded automatically by the system to track user activity, such as when a user accesses or modifies patient information.
- Select User to include all notes recorded by users.
- Select Patient Name Change to include notes recorded automatically by the system whenever a patient’s name is changed.
- Select Profile to include notes recorded in the Notes window in Patient Demographics.
- To include only those notes that are marked urgent and/or follow up, select Urgent Only and/or Follow-Up Only.
- Click Generate Report.
The report opens in a new window.
If the report does not open, check to make sure your browser is set to allow pop-up windows. For instructions, see Enabling Pop-ups
Export the report
To export the report, perform one of the following steps:
- Click Export to PDF to open the report as a PDF file.
- Click Export to Excel to open the report as an Excel spreadsheet.
