Eyefinity Practice Management 10.12 Release Notes

Eyefinity announces the newest version of Eyefinity Practice Management. This updated version improves upon your system's robust attributes and offers new features and expanded functionality.

Front Office Enhancements

Eyefinity Practice Management 10.12 Front Office includes enhancements to the following areas:

VSP Global® Premier Program Support

Eyefinity Practice Management now includes the following features to help practices that participate in the VSP Global Premier Program maintain and capitalize on their Premier status. Premier providers receive access to exclusive offers, increased online visibility on vsp.com, marketing support, and more. For more information about the program, see the VSP Global Premier Program website.

Premier Dashboard

All practices can now track their Premier status by clicking the new Premier Dashboard tile on the Eyefinity Practice Management home screen. The dashboard displays your current status and activity with the Premier Program. If your practice is a Premier practice, you can use the dashboard to monitor your progress toward maintaining your status and get information on your program benefits. If your practice does not have Premier status, you can use the dashboard to see how close you are to qualifying and what you would need to do to get there.

Only users who have the VSP Premier security setting selected in Administration can access the dashboard. For information on changing security settings, see Setting Up Provider Security Settings and Setting Up Staff Security Settings

VSP will introduce an enhanced Premier Program on January 1, 2020. Click New Premier Program on the Premier Dashboard to see information on how the new program compares with the current program, specifically for your practice.

Premier Program Message Center

For Premier practices only, the Message Center includes a new section to keep you up to date with the latest news about the Premier Program.

Patient Demographics Access from VSP Authorizations

In VSP Authorizations, you can now click the patient name to open the patient's demographics screen.

EPM Support Knowledge Base Access from Help Menu

You can now access the Eyefinity customer support knowledge base from the Help menu. Use the knowledge base to search for troubleshooting help and other technical information about Eyefinity Practice Management.

Using the Search function in the Knowledge Base may retrieve articles about Eyefinity products other than Eyefinity Practice Management, such as OfficeMate.

Fixed Issues

Front Office

  • Exams on orders that are voided, canceled, or refunded in full are now available to be used on new orders.
  • Custom recall templates now appear correctly in the Recall Schedule window.
  • Prescriptions imported from Eyefinity EHR with no lens information that are shown as incomplete because they lack an underlying condition are now made complete when you add the underlying condition. Previously, adding the underlying condition did not correct the incomplete status of these prescriptions.
  • Frame search now displays more consistent results.
  • Patient receipts no longer show times in 24-hour format.
  • An error no longer occurs when the Eyeglass Order Summary is printed.
  • Eyeglass lens orders using the Other Non-VSP Lens style now retain the correct lens information when edited.
  • The correct arrow icons now appear in the Appointment Time field in Add Appointment.
  • The Find Open Appointments feature now returns all open time slots that meet your search criteria. Previously, schedule exceptions could cause the feature to miss open time slots.
  • Opening the Patient Record Report from the Manual Calculation window no longer displays a blank page.

Claims Management

  • For multi-location practices, downloaded remittances no longer disappear from one office when they are deleted from another office.

Administration

  • Shipping fees, miscellaneous fees, and repair fees activated in Other Item Setup now show as active across all offices within a company.
