Sending Clinical Summaries to Other Providers & People by Email

Patients can transmit their clinical health summaries to other providers and people by regular email, which is an unencrypted and unsecured transfer format.

1. Log into the patient portal. For more information, go to Logging into the Patient Portal.
2. Open a clinical health summary. For more information, go to Viewing Clinical Summaries.
3. Click Send via Email.
4. Type the email address to which you want to send the summary.
5. Click Send XML or Send PDF to send the summary to the address in the specified format.
