Enabling Group Reporting in Eyefinity EHR
This section applies only to clinicians who intend to report as a group. Individual clinicians may skip this section and go to Submitting MIPS Data with the Built-in Registry.
CMS defines a group as two or more eligible clinicians who reassign their billing rights to a single TIN (tax identification number). Eligible clinicians who submit their performance data as a group will receive a payment adjustment based on the group’s performance.
Eyefinity EHR allows you to establish multiple reporting groups within your practice.
Each clinician in the group must subscribe to the Eyefinity EHR registry. To purchase the registry, call Eyefinity sales team at 800.269.3666.
The group must include all eligible clinicians who billed under the TIN during the performance year—even clinicians who are no longer with the practice.
To set up group data submission, perform the following steps:
- Log into Eyefinity EHR on the web as a practice administrator.
- Locate the Firm Settings group and click Manage GPRO Settings.
- Click the New GPRO action bar icon.
- Complete the GPRO form.
- From the Routing drop-down select ModMed Registry.
- From the Reporting Year drop-down, select the MIPS performance year.
- Type a group Name for your practice’s reference. The clinician designated as the authorizer will need to be able to understand which group to select for MIPS reporting.
- Enter and re-enter the group’s TIN.
- Click the Add an Eligible Professional drop-down and select a clinician to be included in the group. Continue to select clinician names until all appropriate clinicians appear in the Eligible Professionals list.
- Select one or more clinicians as Authorizer. The authorizer is responsible for confirming the performance data and authorizing the group’s data submission to CMS.
- Click Save.
The group is now established. Individual clinicians may view their performance in the MIPS dashboard, but they will not be able to submit performance data. Only the clinicians designated as authorizer will be able to authorize the registry to transmit data to CMS.
