Complying with the Eyeglass and Contact Lens Rules Using OfficeMate/ExamWRITER
Depending on your settings, the final glasses and contact lens prescriptions include an acknowledgment statement and signature line. If you don't see the signature line or disclosure setting described on this page, upgrade to the latest version.
To comply with the Eyeglass and Contact Lens Rules, print two copies of the patient's prescription following the contact lens fitting. Ask the patient to sign one copy, acknowledging receipt of the prescription. Keep the signed copy and give the patient the unsigned copy.
The acknowledgment signature line appears on the detailed prescription. The signature line does not appear on the wallet-size-only prescription.
