Setting Up and Ordering Maui Jim Frames and Lenses

If your practice is an authorized Maui Jim retailer, you can order Maui Jim frames and lenses for your VSP patients. For successful processing, Maui Jim orders must be created using the correct frame/lens/lab combinations. Before you can begin ordering, some setup is necessary. These requirements are explained below. This section includes:

Setting up the Maui Jim Frames, Lenses, and Labs

To ensure that the Maui Jim products and labs are available in Material Orders, you need to perform the following setup tasks in Administration. Click the links in the steps below for instructions on how to perform each task.

1. Price and activate the new Maui Jim frame collections in Frame Setup.
2. Go to Eyeglass Lens Setup and use Standard Setup to price and activate the Maui Jim styles, colors, mirror coatings, and AR coating for the Maui Jim sun and sun Rx lenses.
3. Use Quick Setup in Eyeglass Lens Setup to price and activate the lenses. See the lens list linked in step 2 for detailed lens information.
4. Activate the two new Maui Jim labs in Lab Setup:
   • Maui Jim Lab - use for VSP orders
   • Maui Jim Lab (Non VSP) - use for non-VSP orders
   All Maui Jim prescription lens orders must be sent to a Maui Jim lab. Non-Maui Jim orders cannot be processed by these labs.

The table below lists the allowable frame/lens/lab combinations for eyeglass orders.
