Printing Patient Statements in Demographics

You can print patient statements directly from the patient Overview or Demographics screen. To print patient statements for multiple patients, use the Patient Statements Report.

  • This feature is available only if the Detailed Patient Statements check box is selected in the Patient Preferences screen in Administration. For more information, see Setting Up Patient Statements and Statement Notifications.
  • The provider's license number entered in Administration automatically appears on the printed patient statement, next to the provider name. If the provider has multiple state licenses recorded, the license number for the state in which the office is located prints.
  1. Search for the patient. For more information, see Searching for Existing Patients.

  2. In the Overview or Demographics screen, under Balances & Credits, click Print Statement.

    The statement opens in a new window.

    • The Print Statement button displays only if the patient has a balance.

    • If the statement does not open, check to make sure your browser is set to allow pop-up windows. For instructions, see Enabling Pop-ups

  3. To export the statement, perform one of the following steps:

    • Click Export to PDF to open the statement as a PDF file.

    • Click Export to Excel to open the statement as an Excel spreadsheet.
