Reopening the Current Day
You can reopen the current day only to undo a Daily Closing. Reopening enables you to correct issues before the day is over. After you reopen the current day, you can post new transactions and then repeat Daily Closing as described in Performing Daily Closing .
You cannot reopen prior days, but you can view them. For information on viewing prior closed days, go to Viewing Closed Days and Reprinting the Daily Closing Report.
Only providers and staff with the Reopen Daily Close security permission selected in Administration can reopen the current day.
Use this procedure if you've performed Daily Closing for today but you've found an error you need to correct.
- In the upper-right corner of the Encompass home screen, click Store Operations and select Daily Closing.
The Daily Closing screen opens. Totals for each payment type display, based on the totals posted for the day. The green State icon indicates that the date is open.
- Click Reopen.
- Add or correct information as necessary.
- When you're done, repeat Daily Closing to reclose the day,
