Updating Dependent Insurance Information Automatically

When you add a new insurance or deactivate an insurance for a patient who has dependents recorded in the system, you can update the information for their dependents at the same time. When you add insurance information for a patient who has dependents recorded in the system, a message displays, asking you if you also want to update the information for the dependents.

Relationship to Subscriber is not added to the dependent's record with the rest of the insurance information. Before you can obtain authorizations for the dependent, you need to go to their Insurance screen and edit the plan information to add the Relationship to Subscriber.
If your practice has Eyefinity EHR integrated, the updates to the dependent's insurance information are sent to your Eyefinity EHR system.
