Deleting Appointments in Book View

Only providers and staff members with the Delete Appointments security permission selected in Administration can delete appointments. If you do not have this security permission, an Access Denied - Temporary Override window displays, allowing another user with permission to enter their username and password and give you temporary access. For information on setting security permissions, see Setting Up Provider Security Settings and Setting Up Staff Security Settings.
  1. Open the Appointment Calendar.

    For more information, go to Opening the Appointment Calendar.

  2. If Book View is not already displayed, select it from the drop-down list next to the date in the Appointment Calendar toolbar.

  3. Locate the appointment.
  4. Click the Action drop-down list and select Delete Appointment.
  5. Click Yes.
If you have Eyefinity EHR integrated with Eyefinity Practice Management, the appointment will no longer appear in the Eyefinity EHR Quick List.

Viewing Deleted Appointments

Use the Filter feature in Book View to see a list of all the appointments that were deleted for a specific day.

You can't edit deleted appointments.
  1. Select the date, if necessary.

  2. Click Filter.

  3. Select Deleted from the Appointment Status drop-down list.

    The screen updates to display only appointments with Deleted status.
