Creating Contact Lens Orders Using an Integration
If your system is integrated with a contact lens supplier, such as: ABB, CLX, or Fait Distribution (formerly Wisconsin Vision Associates) for contact lens stock ordering, stock orders are created automatically when you process patient contact lens orders. This section explains how to enter patient contact lens orders to ensure successful stock ordering.
What do you want to do?
- For new contact lens prescriptions, record the prescription and select the Supplier (Eyefinity - ABB) for both lenses.
If your integration is set up properly, prescriptions imported from Eyefinity EEHR will have ABB selected automatically.
- Start a contact lens order.
- When choosing the Rx, click the down arrow and check the Supplier is correct for both lenses before adding it the order.
If the Supplier information is incorrect, click Cancel and use Recheck to correct the prescription before starting the order again.
- In the order summary screen, click the Supplied By drop-down list and select Contact Lens Supplier (Auto). If you select Contact Lens Supplier (Manual) the order is not sent.
- Price, invoice, and process the order as you normally would.
The order displays on the Invoiced tab in Material Orders with the supplier (for example: Auto Eyefinity - ABB Order) in the Integration Status column. To see the Stock Order Number, Shipping Method, and Supplier for the order, click the green arrow and then click the Stock Order Status tab.
- To see the stock order created for the contact lens order, click Inventory in the top menu bar and select Product Inventory.
The Stock tab opens and shows the stock order list.
- Locate the order in the list. The Order Status column shows the order is Open. When the system sends the order to WVA, the Order Status updates to Sent.
- For new contact lens prescriptions, record the prescription and select the Supplier (Eyefinity - WVA) for both lenses.
