Creating Contact Lens Orders Using the Fait Distribution Integration

If your system is integrated with Fait Distribution—formerly known as Wisconsin Vision Associates (WVA)—for contact lens stock ordering, stock orders are created automatically when you process patient contact lens orders. This section explains how to enter patient contact lens orders to ensure successful stock ordering through Fait Distribution. For setup instructions see Editing the Contact Lens Ordering Integration.

To create a contact lens order using the Fait Distribution integration:

  1. Record the patient's contact lens prescription and select Eyefinity - WVA as the Supplier for both lenses.
  2. Start a contact lens order.
  3. When choosing the Rx, click the down arrow and check that Eyefinity - WVA is shown as the Supplier for both lenses before adding it the order.

If the Supplier information is incorrect, click Cancel and use Recheck to correct the prescription before starting the order again.

  4. In the order summary screen, click the Supplied By drop-down list and select Contact Lens Supplier (Auto). Selecting Contact Lens Supplier (Manual) will not send the order to Fait Distribution.
  5. Price, invoice, and process the order as you normally would.

The order displays on the Invoiced tab in Material Orders with Auto Eyefinity - WVA Order in the Integration Status column. To see the Stock Order Number, Shipping Method, and Supplier for the order, click the green arrow and then click the Stock Order Status tab.

  6. To see the stock order created for the contact lens order, click Inventory in the top menu bar and select Product Inventory.

The Stock tab opens and shows the stock order list.

  7. Locate the order in the list. The Order Status column shows that the order is Open. When the system sends the order to Fait, the Order Status will update to Sent.
