Eyefinity Practice Management 10.23 Release Notes

Eyefinity announces the newest version of Eyefinity Practice Management. This updated version improves upon your system's robust attributes and offers new features and expanded functionality.

Front Office Enhancements

Eyefinity Practice Management 10.23 Front Office includes enhancements to the following areas:

Patient Photos

You can now add a photo to a patient's record from the Overview screen by:

  • Uploading an existing photo file stored on your computer, or
  • Taking a new photo using the camera built into your laptop or mobile device, or an external webcam that is connected to your computer.

For instructions on how to use this new feature, see Adding Patient Photos.

Photos you add in Eyefinity Practice Management are not currently viewable in Eyefinity EHR. This functionality will be added in a future release.

Patient Nicknames in Appointment Scheduler

If a patient has a nickname recorded in Demographics, it will now display underneath the patient's name in the following areas:

  • The Add Appointment window,
  • The Appointment Details window,
  • The appointment slot on the Scheduler, and
  • The patient information panel to the left of the Scheduler.

     

Patients With No Recall Report

The Patients With No Recall Report lists all patients in your system who were seen for an invoiced exam but have no scheduled recall set up. The report includes the patient name, date of birth, age, gender, phone number, address, email address, and last appointment date. This report can help you improve your recall capture rate by identifying patients without recalls, so that you can then contact them or access their patient records to add a recall. Only staff and providers who have the Marketing Reports security setting selected can access this report. For more information, go to Setting Up Your Resources (Providers, Staff, and Office Resources).
  1. Click Reporting and select Standard Reports.
  2. Click Marketing Reports.
  3. Click Patients With No Recall.
  4. Select the Office(s) to include on the report.
  5. Click Generate Report.

    The report opens in a new window.

    If the report does not open, check to make sure your browser is set to allow pop-up windows. For instructions, see Enabling Pop-ups
  6. To export the report, perform one of the following steps:
    • Click Export to PDF to open the report as a PDF file.
    • Click Export to Excel to open the report as an Excel spreadsheet.

Administration Enhancement

Eyefinity Practice Management 10.23 Administration includes an enhancement to the following area:

New Provider and Staff Security Permission Settings

New Front Office, Transactions, and Administration security permissions have been added to Provider Setup and Staff Setup. We recommend that you access these screens and check that the new permissions (listed below) are selected or deselected, as appropriate, for each of your providers and staff members. For instructions, see Setting Up Provider Security Settings and Setting Up Staff Security Settings.

If a provider or staff member does not have the security permission for a particular action, an Override window displays when they attempt to perform the action. Another user with permission can to enter their username and password in the Override window and allow temporary access.

New Front Office Security Permissions

  • Inactivate Patient - enables the provider or staff member to inactivate patients.
  • Rx Outside Provider Setup - enables the provider or staff member to add new outside providers when entering prescriptions

New Transactions Security Permissions

  • Override VSP Calculation - enables the provider or staff member to override the automatic VSP calculation when pricing orders
  • Print Lab Order - enables the provider or staff member to print lab orders
  • Print Rx - enables the provider or staff member to print prescriptions

New Administration Security Permission

  • Outside Provider Setup - enables the provider or staff member to add new outside providers in Administration

Fixed Issues

  • Errors no longer occur when you submit VSP ProTec Safety Plan orders.
